After graduating with a first degree in german literature and civilization, while pursuing his acting studies in different french drama schools, Nicolas Buchoux starts his career on stage playing various roles in many repertoires such as Molière, Feydeau, Marivaux, Pinter, Kroetz. In 2009, he is selected to go through a 9 week intensive acting training programme, in London, Paris and Berlin, organized by the Actors Centre in London and the RADA. Among 40 other actors, hailing from 7 different countries, this tremendous experience with European ACT was a big turning point in his actor’s craft and a fantastic booster in Nicolas’ acting career.

His recent work includes the feature film QU'EST CE QU'ON A FAIT AU BON DIEU ? directed by Philippe de Chauveron, who was a real hit in France, more than 12 million spectators. His TV work includes featured roles in series for Canal+ ‘REPORTERS’ directed by Gilles Bannier and Jean-Marc Brondolo, and for OCS channel ‘Q.I.’ directed by Olivier De Plas.

His film credits include as well the lead role in ‘A JUICY TURKEY’, winner of the Best International Short Film at the Raindance film festival in 2008. And ‘I’M NOT AFRAID OF LIFE’ by Noémie Lvovsky, ‘CLEMENT’ by Emmanuelle Bercot, ‘1942 : LOVE AND BETRAYAL’ by Franck Phélizon, ‘WAR OF THE MISSES’ by Patrice Leconte, ‘ARTICLE 23’ by Jean-Pierre Delépine and ‘FAST LIFE’ by Thomas N’gijol.

He also worked for France 2 and France 3 with other directors as Raphaël Frydman, Raoul Peck, Philippe Triboit, Nicolas Cuche, Julia Cordonnier, Franck Apprédéris, Gérard Jourd’hui, Jean Teddy Filippe et Arnaud Sélignac.

Nicolas Buchoux was nominated ‘best actor in a supporting role’ at the Filmquest Festival in Salt Lake city for his role in the short film ‘THE CURE’, a fantastic thriller, directed by Xavier Mesme .

He’s currently touring in France with ‘THE CHERRY ORCHARD’ by Chekhov, directed by Christian Benedetti and as well with ‘BABACAR’ , a love story against a backdrop of migrant crisis, directed by Sidney Mehelleb
